Do Gaping Gill Winch

Gaping Gill (also known as Gaping Ghyll) is a natural cave in North Yorkshire, England. It is one of the unmistakable landmarks on the southern slopes of Ingleborough – a 105 metres (344ft) deep pothole with the stream Fell Beck flowing into it.     Impressive underground chamber...but you get soaking

    17/08/08- Gaping gill Today I woke up bright and breezy at 6 45 on a Sunday! Went to pick up my good friend James (Coast to Coast) at half 7. I had stayed up late after coming back from Unity day in Hyde park, Leeds. I also went to an amazing Oxfam book shop which Roxy showed me. I bought all the Lord of the Rings trilogy along with ‘The Hobbit’, a Flashman book and a brilliant old illustrated copy of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. I had read all the Tolkien trilogy before but I have an obsession with having all the books I have ever read in my collection so had to buy them.
